Knowledge Sharing Platform Vokal Acquires Quizzing App StupidChat

India's largest peer to peer Knowledge Sharing Platform, Vokal has acquired a social network based quizzing app called StupidChat Technologies in an all-stock deal for an undisclosed amount. Founded in 2017 by Sourav Karmakar and Saheb Roy, StupidChat App is often known as the Uber of Anonymous Social Network that lets users connect with people nearby without disclosing their identity. Post the acquisition, Vokal will use the six-member team to work on the existing products while coming up with daily engagement products for the platform. AEON Learning Acquired Tech Startup Acadgild

Edu-tech firm AEON Learning today said it has acquired Acadgild -- which offers high-end tech skills to mid-career IT professionals -- for about USD 10 million in an all-stock deal. "This is an all-stock deal, where the investors of Acadgild will receive shares of AEON Learning. This deal is valued at about USD 10 million," AEON Learning founder and CEO Karthik KS told PTI. AEON Learning offers technology to universities for their courses through its platform Avagmah. It reaches to 22,000 students across 66 countries, with 20 per cent business originating from the US. Edtech Startup Meritnation Raises Funding from Info Edge

Edtech platform Meritnation, run by Appect Learning Systems has recently raised a sum of Rs 38 crore from the online classifieds portal - Info Edge. With this latest funding round, Info Edge now holds a majority stake of 65.67% in the startup, in comparison to the earlier 56%; with a total of Rs 134 crore as an investment. A large part of the funding(around Rs 32 crore) will be used to retire some of the debt on its books while the remaining will be used for the expansion and daily operations.
