RBI To Issue Chocolaty New Rs 10 Notes

The Reserve Bank of India will be issuing new Rs 10 notes under Mahatma Gandhi series. The new Rs 10 notes will soon be available in chocolate brown color as the base with a picture of Konark Sun Temple. As per the source, the government has already printed around 1 billion pieces of the new Rs 10 note. It was only last week that the designed got approved by the government, which has not been changed since 2005. The new Rs 200 and Rs 50 notes were launched in August 2017 under the Mahatma Gandhi series. The aim of introducing new notes of lower denominations is solely to prevent counterfeiting of notes and promote digital economy. Cisco Open Its First Global Digital Experience Centre in India

American hardware major Cisco today said it is witnessing a jump in demand by Indian banks since the demonetisation move, which made it open its first global digital experience centre here. "Overall we see a significant ramp-up requirements are coming from them, especially since November last year. That is where we have also seen growth," Cisco Indias president Dinesh Malkani told reporters here. He said digital solutions are "top of the mind" even for the state-run lenders, who are wanting solutions on a variety of aspects. During this demonetisation period, India based e-commerce portal Snapdeal rolled out a new service called Cash@Home – which will allow customers to order cash and get it delivered at their doorstep. The company will be using the cash that it receives through Cash on Delivery (CoD) to operate this facility. It will charge a convenience of Re 1, which can be either paid through FreeCharge or through a debit card at the time of booking the order. A user can request for Rs 2000 per booking and any bank’s ATM card can be used to pay for the cash. The customers are not obligated to order anything else from Snapdeal to access the ‘Cash@Home’ facility.
