Home Renting Firm Airbnb Appoints Amazon veteran as CFO

Home-renting company Airbnb has hired Amazon veteran Dave Stephenson as chief financial officer (CFO), ahead of a widely anticipated initial public offering next year. Stephenson's departure was followed by the exit of another Amazon veteran, Jason Warnick, who is leaving the e-commerce giant to become CFO at online brokerage startup Robinhood. Stephenson will start in early January, Airbnb said in a statement, and will replace Laurence Tosi, who left the company in February. Stephenson, who has worked at Amazon for 17 years, was most recently vice president and CFO of the online retailer's worldwide consumer organization, which is responsible for all of Amazon's global website sales including its Prime service. Urban Ladder Appoints Jaipal Singal as CFO

Home furnishing company Urban Ladder today said it has appointed Jaipal Singal as its Chief Financial Officer with immediate effect. Singal joins Urban Ladder from Arvind fashion brands and has also been associated with Marks & Spencer and Mahindra Retail, Urban Ladder said in a statement. He will lead the charge to improve the companys profitability and set benchmark corporate governance standards, it added. Urban Ladder aims to break even in the next 18 months and is targeting an IPO in the next four years. "We are very excited to have Jaipal on board at a time when we have made a strategic shift from being an e-commerce company to a retail brand. His vast experience in the retail sector is a fantastic addition for us," Urban Ladder CEO and co-founder Ashish Goel said.

Ola ropes in ex Infosys CFO Rajiv Bansal to head finance

  Taxi aggregator Ola today said it has appointed former Infosys Chief Financial Officer Rajiv Bansal to head finance operations as part of its expansion drive in the country. Bansal, who announced his resignation from the country's second largest software services firm in October this year, will join the Softbank-backed Ola in January 2016. "Rajiv brings close to 21 years of experience in finance with over 16 years at Infosys, where he was the CFO and recently transitioned to being an advisor to the CEO.
