Airbus BizLab Eyes to Acquire Stake in Indian Startups

Global aerospace accelerator, Airbus BizLab is eyeing to acquire the stake in Indian startups that it has been working with. However, there has not been any confirmation regarding this news. Earlier, Airbus subsidiaries, Navblue and Aerial signed deals with three Indian startups, accelerated at Airbus Bizlab India, in the segments of aeronautical data services, flight operations and imagery.   If and when an equity participation takes place, it will be a departure from Airbus BizLab’s usual way of funding the startups. Airbus CEO To Step Down In 2019, Know Why

European multinational corporation Airbus that designs, manufactures, and sells civil and military aeronautical products worldwide recently said that its CEO Tom Enders will step down from his post in April 2019. Airbus is now preparing for a complete transition of its top management with the departure of two seniors as the planemaker grapples with corruption allegations. The company said Enders, who will have been at the helm of Airbus and defense firm EADS for 14 years, won't seek another term. Mahindra Aviation Unit Bags Contract From Airbus

European aviation major Airbus has awarded a long-term contract to Mahindra Aerostructures to manufacture and supply a set of components made of hard metals. These components aerospace steel, titanium and Inconel - will be used in manufacturing single aisle A320neo and wide-body A350XWB aircraft, a release said here today. This will be the first direct work package from Airbus to Mahindra Aerostructures, which will execute the work together with its sub-tier French firm Segnere SAS, it said. A Russian inventor claims that he has perfect plan for "detachable cabins", which could save lives in a plane crash. Vladimir Tatarenko unveiled the patented concept, which he’s been working on for three years. The early stages of his concept in a video that sees the capsule detach from the cockpit of the plane. “Surviving a plane crash is possible.
