Google Vs Oracle: Oracle Revealed Google's Android Revenue Secret

Google's Android operating system has generated revenue of about $31 billion and profit of $22 billion since its release, an Oracle Corp lawyer told a U.S. court hearing the software company's copyright lawsuit against Google. A lawyer for Google did not discuss the figure, according to a transcript of the hearing in a Northern California federal court last week. But he said the Alphabet Inc unit might be willing to disclose more information about the revenue produced by Android as part of the court proceedings. ANI: Internet giant Google will soon make travel a lot easier by making its navigation software even smarter. The new map mode termed as 'Driving Mode' may take into account an individual's current location and will determine the destination. The app is also expected to give you information about the prevailing traffic in the route travelled. Self-drive car rental aggregator JustRide will get up to $50,000 (around Rs 3.3 million) in equity-free seed funding from Google as part of being selected for the internet giant’s startup accelerator programme, Google Launchpad. Google Launchpad is specifically for mobile startups in India, Brazil and Indonesia. Reuters- Apple Inc on Tuesday released a version of its virtual personal assistant Siri for Arabic speakers in the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia, potentially making its iPhones more attractive in a largely affluent market of more than 30 million people. The move, part of Apple's latest software updates, means people in those countries will be able to use Siri in their native tongue on iPhones, iPads and the Apple Watch. Google Allegedly Planning To End Gmail- Source

It appears that search engine giant Google is slowly killing its hugely popular e-mail service, Gmail. No, this doesn't mean that you are losing your e-mail account, but Google is migrating its e-mail services to ‘Inbox By Gmail’. The company has reportedly started notifying users of its experimental 'Inbox By Gmail' service that the new service has replaced their existing Gmail account.   Inbox was launched in October 2014 with aims to help Gmail users better organize emails and display information such as appointments, flight bookings and package deliveries in a more user-friendly way. The app is available on the Web as well as on Android smartphones and iPhones.
