“It was a couple of years back, when I was planning to take my girlfriend out on our two year anniversary date. I went through various review websites, searching for the restaurant to take her into, the movie to watch, but it all turned out to be a total disaster, as she ended up breaking up with me. In my moments of despair, I was wondering what’s going on and idea of Myish struck my mind ” tells Vincent Taylor Alton, Founder Myish.

“Frustrated by the cumbersome of going through review websites to websites and fake reviews, I decided to have a go-to source of unified reviews generated by the people I know and that’s where Myish came into the thoughts” recalls Vincent. “After further discussing a lot with Dhawal Sehgal and Rishi Rais, the other founding members of Myish, we decided to give it a shot”, adds Vincent.
Ish means stuff, and Myish= my+ish, simply work on the phenomenon of sharing experiences you had with the latest things you bought, places you visited, apparel you bought, or any gadget you are using, it can be anything. It’s just like a community of people you know, helping you make correct choices with their experiences. And that’s not it, you win discount coupons through the content you post in Myish.

It all started in 2012 back in New York, when Vincent Taylor Alton, Dhawal Sehgal and Rishi Rais, met at a café. “Vincent was frustrated with the existing review space which was scattered and mostly not trustworthy. So he discussed with us how to solve this disconnect and we both felt like this could be the opportunity for us to spread our wings and we started building Myish, and honestly I am glad today, we did that” narrates Rishi, who leads technology and analytics at Myish.
Myish.com went live in November,2014 last year in India. Myish is also available at App stores (both Android and iOS). On asking the reason for choosing India, Vincent explains “The recent years of Indian startup and technology evolution has been much more than exciting, also both of my co-founders belongs to Delhi, our team was built in India and so is our product, so we decided to launch it in India first”.
On asking about the future plans, Dhawal Sehgal, who leads the Digital Marketing division, explains “Users like the platform and are responding with a very decent content and that’s what makes our belief in Myish stronger and stronger and the pace with which we are moving ahead, we would love to see us a renowned and trustworthy global identity in the review space”.
