“The ‘Going-Out’ app – InstaBounce” has a highly-curated list of selected last-minute events for everyone at discounted (or even free) prices. From a theatre loving person, to a food connoisseur, or a party freak, there’s always something special for everyone.
Currently operating in Delhi/NCR space, Instabounce is available on Andoid and iOS plaforms. The amount of popularity can easily be judged by the fact that, in a mere launch after a period of 3 months, the app has crossed 1800 organic downloads.
From opening the app to final booking its all just a game of Browse, Book and Bounce:
After logging in, users are presented with a selection of events from the likes of wine and food pairing to cocktail tasting, stand up comedy, clubbing, karaoke, concerts and other events for that night or if it is late in the day, for the next day too.
Booking procedure is very simple, it takes less than 10 seconds and just 2 taps. Just book the event you want to be the part of and there you go!

“After working in the event management industry for a long time, I realized that there is a social disconnect between the event organizer and customers. Organizers most of the time are in trouble to fill the last minute organized parties and so are customers unable to find their desired happenings around the town” Tells Harman, Co-founder Instabounce. “So we came with the idea of Instabounce, to make a bridge in between the two” he adds
Harman has been quite an enthusiast from the school days organizing parties and all. The fever continued in college too, and it achieved its heights when he landed himself in trouble while organizing a non official party at college at the same day, same time beating the official one! After the college, he worked with a pioneer in table reservations to know the industry in depth. The knowledge gained resulted in Foodninja, a food supply startup, which went downstairs too soon.
All this led to a plan of having a nightlife portal that was missing in the industry. But how’s, what’s and why’s of idea were not clear.”Only sure part was that solution to the problem was a mobile app, as nobody these days takes a burden of opening PCs and laptops to decide where to dine out or booze” says this young engineering graduate from Amity.
Then began the hunt for technicalities, marketing and executional plans. From startup meetups to mentor session at various venue Instabounce started growing on strategical parts. The team grew in size with the addition of other two co-founders Rahul and Ajit who takes care of operation and online/offline promotion of events respectively, while Harman takes care of Business development and marketing.
Lots of idea validation took place from angel investors like Mahesh Murthi and mentors from 91 springboard. Finally Instabounce got incubated at this co-working space giant and operation part got its much required boost.
Talking about the journey, Harman explanis “the journey seems pretty challenging and fun filled so far. From the initial days we got to work with Sunburn, Asia’s biggest music festival which gave Instabounce it’s base. We got to work with international stars like David Guetta, Hardwell, Tiestu, Avicci and many more”
The recent major boost Instabounce got was at IIT-Mumbai’s Shark-tank styled startup showcase. Out of 260 registered entries, Instabounce made its place among top six who were selected for a Rs 10 lakh funding by Dr Anirudh Malpani as a lead investor among Ajit Khurana, V.C Karthik and Amit. However the money is on its way.
Instabounce has a very flexible revenue model with push notifications, event listings and commission through tickets being the main stream for revenues. Some future plans likes of marketing revenues are also in the pipeline.
Future and Funding strategies:
Currently in bootstrapped stage, Instabounce is looking for a V.C round very soon to expand in Mumbai as their next destination. The venture is also planning to add real time socialization part to add on the social bonding for the users, if two users are friends on social media and going to the same event, they get the notification for the same.
Expanding the team, adding more personalisation to the app are also the part of future plans.
All of us find it very difficult to plan and manage the last minute plans. Instabounce fit to the situation very decently. It was never easy before for this kind of need, but now it is!!
