Cab-aggregator platform Uber technologies, claims to have finally touch double-digit growth in the country and almost 2.5 times year-on-year growth as of June 2017.
This seems to be a huge success for Uber, where it has been in regular competition with Indian giant cab-aggregator Ola, whose numbers were bigger than Uber.
Uber launched its services in India back in 2013 in Silicon Valley of India with just three employees and now has grown to a thousand.
“This is a significant landmark for Uber in India,“ said Amit Jain, president, Uber India and South Asia. “Four years ago, India was the eighteen country in the world to experience the magic of `push a t a ride‘, when we launched in button and get a ride’, when we launched in Bengaluru with just three employees. Today, we’re over a 1,000 member team who share the common vision of redefining the future of urban mobility.”
The company is also currently working on some of its new products that it plans to roll out during the second-half of the year.
