Elon Musk led Tesla’s share price drops 8.2% after he took a puff of marijuana during a live YouTube talk show.
In The talk show of The Joe Rogan Experience, the anchor host Rogan who lit up a joint more than two hours into the interview and this is how Elon started asking about the joint,
Elon asked, “So is that a joint? Or is it a cigar?”
Rogan said, it’s marijuana inside tobacco, and asked Elon, did you ever tried it?
“I think I tried once,” Musk replied with a laugh.
“C’mon, man. You probably can’t because of stockholders, right?” Rogan said.
“I mean it’s legal, right?” Musk said. “Totally legal,” Rogan said. “OK,” Musk said.
Then Elon took a puff of a cigratte and drink whisky.
After a while Musk starts receiving the messages from his friends saying, ‘What the hell are you doing smoking weed?’
Elon also said that in his entire life he “almost never” smoked marijuana.
“I don’t find that it is very good for productivity. … It’s like a cup of coffee in reverse,” he said.
In recent, Tesla was hit with by the two controversies. The issues was departure of two key executives and planning of privatization of the company.
The chief accounting officer of Tesla Dave Morton, was leaving the company after just one month in the job.
In addition, Tesla’s head of human resources, Gabrielle Toledano is also going to resign from the company.
Last month, Tesla’s plan to “go private” was also not gone well. The shares of Tesla goes down including their own investors were criticizing the move.
One of the twitter user said,
“So the current incident of joint puff by Elon Musk is some how connect with these incidents”.
