Snapdeal CEO Jason Kothari Quits, Joins Infibeam as President

Jason Kothari the former chief executive of Snapdeal is joining Ahmedabad-based online e-commerce platform Infibeam as President. In the sudden move, Kothari will now hold company’s lead strategy, corporate development, international operations, and investor relations process.

According to the press release, the company said, Kothari will help drive infibeam next phase of growth with the leadership team, it added.

Jason Kothari said, “I’m very excited and happy to work with Mehta and the team at Infibeam to help accelerate the company’s expansion. Earlier, Kothari served as the Chief Strategy and Investment Officer at Snapdeal.

Now Snapdeal CFO Vikas Bhasin has taken over the responsibilities of Snapdeal.

“Jason joins us with a history of high-impact business and strategic leadership where he has changed their outcomes and created significant value for all stakeholders. At Infibeam, we will leverage his valuable experience to help realise our global plan and drive the next era in the company’s evolution,” Infibeam Managing Director Vishal Mehta said.

Prior to Snapdeal, he served as the CEO of Softbank-backed online real estate company Housing.com, where he led the turnaround of the company and merger with News Corp’s PropTiger.

India’s first profitable E-commerce company Infibeam also announced to expand business in IT industry and also to launch a payments bank. The company is planning to raise 2000 Crores in funding for the payment business.

Earlier the company has acquired 100% stakes in the tech solutions company of Snapdeal, Unicommerce.
