170 Million Downloads-This Chinese Application Has Outperformed Indian Applications

SHAREit started its campus activities on November 14, 2016. The teams summed up with many well-known Indian bloggers went on campus to discuss with college students about the impact of SHAREit on the Indian Internet market, sharing interesting stories in the course of development, maintenance and application of the software.

There are around 170 million users in India, out of which most of them are college students. The process of information sharing is mainly from that group, and they most likely  rely on speed sharing through SHAREit.

At Indian universities, all students are familiar with SHAREit as the main near field transmission software. In daily life, it has become the most commonly used app among college students, sharing photos, music, videos. SHAREit recently topped the Tool Board of Google Play in 13 countries, including India, Bangladesh, Philippines, Uzbekistan, Algeria, Oman, Egypt, South Africa, Nepal, Malaysia, Qatar, Singapore and Kuwait. In India, besides being No.1 in the Tool Board of Google Play, it also surpassed YouTube to rank No.4 in the Hot App List of App Store, No.2 in the App List of Mac App Store, and No.3 in the Hot App Board of Google Play.

From the spectacular events on Indian campuses, it was easy to figure out college students’ love for SHAREit. The SHAREit logo wall drew packs of people are taking pictures. The peripheral products are also very popular among students.

In the second half of the activity, actor Danish Sait also came to the site to interact with fans. He shared his funny experience of using SHAREit. Loud screams burst from the audience upon his arrival.

As SHAREit  market director Xiaolei Du lit the oil lamp at the event site, everyone could feel the blend of  Indian local culture and customs with SHAREit, and its tremendous efforts to better serve the Indian market.

SHAREit is ranked in the top three in the India Google Play Applications list, with over 170 million downloads in India. Due to the interpersonal communication SHAREit has a benefit and reduction in its marketing cost .  SHAREit has won numerous awards with Indian science and technology media awards  due to its large Indian users, and was eventually is honoured as “one of three India national applications”.

These campus activities by SHAREit provided good opportunities by strengthening the connection to Chinese-Indian senior manager team and Indian college students. The staff was also touched by students’ appreciation and interest for SHAREit. There were many happy faces and enthusiastic interactions during the events.
