Paytm Mall Plans To Expand Globally

Paytm Mall is planning to expand to Southeast Asian countries, along with countries such as Japan, and it has also appointed a head for its international business and expansion.

Paytm mall is a platform provided by Paytm for the user to shop, it works just like any other E-Commerce website or Application. It aims to offer a combination of the Mall and Bazaar concepts to Indian consumers.

 

“Only trusted sellers passing strict quality guidelines and qualification criteria are allowed on the ‘Mall, All products listed on the mall goes through Paytm certified warehouse and shipping channels ensuring guaranteed consumer trust’,” a statement made by Paytm.

 

Sanjeev Misra has joined Paytm Mall as senior vice-president for international markets will launch and expand the international business.  (He was earlier vice-president of business and renewable energy for the Adani Group).

He has also worked for the Reliance Group and for several brands in the Silicon Valley, including Motorola Semiconductors, Cisco Systems, Adobe, Compaq Computers. and Silicon Graphics.

Paytm Mall has also roped in Vikram Kher as vice-president for the mobile business. He was earlier with Amazon and has worked with companies such as Philips, Castrol, NRB and HPCL.

Suresh Vasudevan has been appointed as vice-president for technology (he was earlier the head of engineering for Alexa Skills Certification platform at Amazon), and Manjunath CK will join Paytm Mall as vice-president for electronics (he was the director for online business at LeEco India).

The Paytm Mall has launched its Paytm Seller app that is available in 7 regional languages which allow anyone with a smartphone to set up an online shop on Paytm Mall.

Paytm Mall has over 17 fulfilment centres across the country to offer consumers an efficient online shopping experience. The platform also offers sellers the widest reach through its vast network of over 40 courier partners.

Paytm Mall is available on iOS and Android, and it lists over 68 million products sold by 1.4 lakh sellers spread over 1000 cities and towns across the country.
