Nowadays, Netflix has brought in a latest test feature that plays video promo in between episodes of a series you’re watching. It appears on the full screen which lasts for 10 to 20 seconds.
Subscribers now face promotional videos that can not be skipped. These videos are almost like a commercial which appear between the videos reminding the users to not miss a particular show on Netflix. With this feature, the users seem to be unhappy and face inconvenience.
Users who have faced this are expressing their annoyance through Reddit and Twitter.
@netflix if you bring ads to your programming, I will have no reason to continue. I pay for your programming to avoid commercials. Just a customers input.

The users have even complained that the videos can neither be skipped not muted. This is particularly not a feature that is being launched out to the Netflix users rather it is a test that Netflix is running to determine how to better promote content.
“At Netflix, we conduct hundreds of tests every year so we can better understand what helps members more easily find something great to watch,” stated Netflix. “In this particular case, we are testing whether surfacing recommendations between episodes helps members discover stories they will enjoy faster. It is important to note that a member is able to skip a video preview at anytime if they are not interested.”
A few years ago, the company also introduced video previews to the TV experience, because they saw that it significantly cut the time users spend browsing and help them find something they would enjoy watching even faster. Since that time, the company has been innovating more and more with video based on personalized recommendations.
It seems that the users now will be waiting for this feature to discontinue so that they can smoothly watch their favorite shows with any interruption.
