MobiKwik Appoints Three New Business Heads, Aims Four-Fold Growth

Digital financial services platform MobiKwik has announced the appointment of three new business heads across three different verticals, with an aim to restructure the senior leadership team.

The basic idea behind these appointments is to achieve a four-fold growth in the current year. The company has appointed :

Deepak Batra as the Head of Online Business

Jalaj Khurana as the Head for Unorganized Retail

Chandan Joshi as Head of Organized Retail

“MobiKwik is evolving to become India’s largest digital financial services platform. We are in the process of rejigging so as to address the current and future business requirements. The hiring of the three business heads is in line with our business strategy,” said Upasana Taku, cofounder, Mobikwik.

Batra who will be responsible for working closely with the company’s online partners was earlier with OLX India. He has also been an ex-consultant at Bain.

On the other hand, Jalaj Khurana will now take care of the offline business through unorganized merchant network. He has been a former Reckitt Benckiser executive and has an experience of around 13 years in the sales and marketing business in the FMCG industry, having been associated with organizations such as Reckitt Benckiser and Dabur.

Whereas, Chandan Joshi has earlier been a financial trader with Credit Suisse in London and Hong Kong. He also inaugurated Paketts which is an innovative last mile logistics service company in 2015 and exited the firm after it was acquired by Nuvo Logistics in 2017.

MobiKwik is quite confident that the combined expertise, knowledge and experience that the three executives bring to the company will further strengthen the company’s foothold in the market. The founder seems to be well-satisfied with all the three appointments.
