Instagram Rolls Out Three Fresh Features to its Stories Format

Photo-sharing social media platform Instagram has launched new features that change the way you interact with the people you follow on the platform.

With the new updates, the users will now be able to use the questions sticker for music recommendations in Stories. A person’s followers will now respond to question sticker with a song from the music library.

These responses will appear right above the list of people who have viewed your Story and you can tap on it to play the track. Also, you will be able to share their response to your Instagram Story as well and while doing that, you’ll be able to capture a photo or video as the music plays in the background. Moreover, there will be new effects in the music mode that “respond to the beats and sounds of a song.”

It must also be note that when they share someone’s question or song, their photo and username won’t be shown. The new music features will be launching on the latest version of Instagram for iOS and Android starting today in regions where their music library is currently available.

Secondly, users can also use the question sticker in Live. To do this, you will have to go to someone’s story and respond to their questions sticker as you normally would. If that user goes Live to answer, you’ll see “Q&A” in your stories tray.

Lastly, Instagram is also rolling out interactive countdown sticker in Instagram Stories. This will be present in the sticker tray. You can add a name to the countdown, add an end date or time and customise the colour before sharing to your story.

This will be available in your sticker tray to reuse in new stories until the countdown ends. Your followers can tap on your countdown to follow or share it to their own story.
