Elon Musk Promises On Twitter To Build Pick Up Trucks ‘Right After’ Model Y

It’s just about a month that Tesla launched its electric semi-truck along with a surprise launch of Roadster in November, Musk took to Twitter today relying to a fan that he will soon launching a pick-up truck.

When a fan requested that he awaits on Tesla’s pick-up truck, Musk tweeted,“I promise that we will make a pickup truck right after Model Y. Have had the core design/engineering elements in my mind for almost 5 years. Am dying to build it.”

When asked about the size of the pick-up truck and whether it will be comparable to Ford F150, he said,”Similar total size. Maybe slightly bigger to account for a really gamechanging (I think) feature I’d like to add.”

However, Musk had earlier revealed that Tesla plans on launching a pick-up truck sometime in a couple of year. Musk even revealed an image of an electric pickup truck, which was based on the architecture of the semi-truck. And in Musk’s “Master Plan, Part Deux” in 2016, he described Tesla’s plans to create “a new kind of pickup truck.”

The only new info we got is that he will be starting to work on this layout right after Model Y, which Tesla is yet to reveal. Model Y will be a small SUV which is about to be completed. When will it end up at Wichita Ford Trucks dealerships for people to try out?
