Rajya Sabha Introduces Notice Submission App for Members

M Venkaiah Naidu, the Chairman of Rajya Sabha has reportedly made an announcement that now the members of the Upper House can submit notices for the discussions and the question hour online via a new app.

Now, both the options including offline as well as online submission can be availed by the lawmakers. Through the app, the members can submit notices for the purpose of zero hour mentions, call attention, raising questions, special mentions as well as short duration discussion.

This was mentioned by the Chairman when the House met for the day. However, he also stated that the requirement of giving a physical notice has not been eliminated. The physical system of applying for the notice will also be available.

Naidu exclaimed that the members must contact the officers concerned in the Rajya Sabha Secretariat to give notices or find out about the fate of their notices instead of coming directly to him as he may not have all the information.

Stating all the rules for entry and exit from the House proceedings have begun, he said members should enter or leave the chamber quietly without disturbing anyone.

Along with this, while leaving, the members should not stay in the lobby and talk to other members.

It seems that the Indian Government is also getting quite fascinated by the growing technology and has thus, brought in a new app for the purpose of submitting notices for the discussions and the question hour in Rajya Sabha.
