Women’s health and a wellness-focused company called &ME has reportedly secured an undisclosed amount in a seed funding round. The round was led by private equity investment firm Matrix Partners India.
The funds so raised by the company will be utilized in the expansion of its distribution network. A part of funds will also be used in hiring senior executives and further research.
The Bengaluru-based startup was launched by Merhaki Foods & Nutrition Private Limited that was founded by Ankur Goyal in September 2017. The company offers women-focused health beverages with ancient Ayurveda and nutrition.
Ankur Goyal, CEO of &ME said, “In the three weeks since our launch, we have sold 400 bottles, with over 70% of the sales coming from the modern trade stores in parts of Bengaluru. Over the next four months, we will expand across Bengaluru and then move to two more markets in South and North India next year.”
It has a huge range of drinks with a combination of fruits, vegetables, spices, herbs, and flowers without any added preservatives and sugar. These drinks that the company offers also provide a 30% daily nutrition for women with less than 80 calories.
The drinks are titled under various categories namely beauty and lifestyle, and fitness. The products are a combination of fruits, vegetables, spices, herbs and flowers with no added sugar or preservatives.
These products are available for the customers on the official website of the company along with other online websites. Also, they can be purchased offline in select stores in Bengaluru.
The company is further planning to launch three more drinks for women with Polycystic ovary syndrome, fat metabolism, and to develop core strength.
