Hindi Social Networking Portal ShabdaNagari Raised Funding From ah! ventures

Hindi social networking portal ShabdaNagari has raised undisclosed amount of bridge funding from ah! ventures.  The company had said that it plans to use the funds raised to expand its genres and improve its user interface, marketing and promotional activities.

Artha Energy Project’s Anirudh Damani & others also participated in this round.

Ventures.

ShabdaNagari had earlier raised Rs 1.2 crore from Kanpur Angels and a clutch of other investors in January this year.

ShabdaNagari was started by Amitesh Misra, Nikhil Tiwari and Amaresh Chandra Misra in January last year. The Kanpur-based startup says it recently included 2 new promoters – Kalpnesh Gupta and Gopal Sutwala who manage its marketing activities. It employs 15 employees as of now.

ShabdaNagari claims to currently register around 2 lakh monthly unique visits and 8 lakh page views on its platform. Around 80% of its traffic comes from India and around 10% comes from USA, UAE and Canada.
