Netflix India Content Executive Swati Shetty Quits

Netflix's director for international originals and acquisitions Swati Shetty has reportedly resigned from her position. She had been one of Netflix's earliest hires in India and had joined the company in August 2016. She was based in Los Angeles and during her tenure, Netflix expanded its slate of original films including titles like Love Per Square Foot, LustStories and more recently Rajma Chawal. It was last month that the video streaming platform announced a slate of eight new original films, including a film on the Indian startup ecosystem called Upstarts and three films produced by Bollywood actors. After Flipkart, Binny Bansal to Launch a new Startup

Flipkart co-founder Binny Bansal who stepped down from his position recently is all set to launch a new company along with former McKinsey consultant Saikiran Krishnamurthy that will offer technology tools, learning and consulting services to growth- stage startups which are looking to scale up. The company will be called xto10x Technologies and has been funded by Bansal and Krishnamurthy, who headed Flipkart’s logistics arm Ekart and later spearheaded taxi-hailing firm Ola’s marketplace business. Alibaba Appoints new CEO for its Southeast Asia e-commerce Firm

Alibaba has appointed a new CEO at its e-commerce firm in Southeast Asia known as Lazada. Previous CEO Lucy Peng stepped down to be replaced by Lazada executive president Pierre Poignant after just nine months in the role. The company owns 90 percent of Lazada and has been involved in the business since April 2016 when it bought 51 percent of Lazada for $1 billion from Rocket Internet. Also, after the acquisition Alibaba invested a further $1 billion last year to increase its equity to around 83 percent and earlier this year it raised its stake even higher with an additional $2 billion injection. Infosys US Retail Sales Executive Naresh Ramamurti Steps Down

Naresh Ramamurti, one of the three sales leads for retail in the US at Infosys has stepped down from his position. Ramamurti, vice president and Regional Head - Americas - Consumer, Retail and Logistics, has been reporting to Karmesh Vaswani, who heads the retail business segment globally. Between 2011 and mid-2017, he was reporting to Sandeep Dadlani, who quit last year. Ramamurti, an Infosys veteran of nearly 15 years in two stints. In a LinkedIn post confirming his decision, Ramamurti said he was looking to solving problems for himself. Cloud computing platform DigitalOcean has reportedly launched its Kubernetes-as-a-service offering to all developers across the world starting today. However, the service is still limited with general availability expected in early 2019 with additional new features. India's one of the largest IT services company HCL Technologies on Tuesday announced the opening of a new delivery centre in Adelaide, with signing a six-year contract with Australian agri-business firm Elders.
