Indian Teenager dies after playing PUBG game on cellphone

A 16-year-old Indian boy died of cardiac arrest allegedly while playing PUBG battle game on his mobile phone for six hours at a stretch here in Madhya Pradesh. The deceased was identified as Furkan Qureshi, a Class 12 student. The incident took place on May 28 when Furkan Qureshi and his family, settled at Nasirabad in Rajasthan, had come to Neemuch to attend a marriage, the teenager's father, Haroon Rasheed Qureshi, said. Police said they have not been informed about the boy's death by his family and hence not launching a probe as of now. Uber partners IOC to offer discounts on fuel for driver-partners

NEW DELHI: Uber Thursday said it has partnered Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IOCL) to offer special benefits, including discount on fuel, to the ride-hailing company's driver-partners in India. In a statement, Uber said over 12,000 driver-partners have already registered for this benefit. "The agreement with IOCL will offer delivery partners discounts on petrol, diesel and CNG in IOCL petrol pumps across India. Leading stock exchange BSE Wednesday said it has launched 'BSE StAR MF' app to enable more participation and help mutual fund distributors process transactions faster. NEW DELHI: India's largest telecom operator Vodafone Idea Ltd on Friday announced a five-year multi-million-dollar IT outsourcing deal with tech giant IBM. "This engagement will also contribute to Vodafone Idea's merger synergy objectives by reducing its IT related costs," the telecom firm said in a statement. The company did not divulge the size of the deal but some reports pegged it at about $700 million. An official from Indian government said that funds received by startups from accredited investors may be exempted from angel tax subject to complying with certain net worth criteria. CHENNAI: The Madras High Court's Madurai Bench on Wednesday lifted the ban on video mobile application TikTok, owned by Chinese company ByteDance, subject to certain conditions. The Delhi High Court today dismissed the writ petitions filed by Stelling Technologies, which owns and manages the online train ticket booking portal 'railyatri.in' providing service related to rail journeys. The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation(IRCTC) had cracked whip on the Retail Service Providers(RSP) who were associated with RailYatri by deactivating their access credentials to the IRCTC site.
