Amid the raging Stayzilla controversy, Karnataka IT Minister Priyank Kharge today said no industry, including startups and vendors, are above law and should function within the parameters and anybody raising money should pay up. Two policemen have been suspended and show cause notices issued to two police officers following the detention of two entrepreneurs who had allegedly created ruckus at a start up meet in the presence of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. There is no cost to the exchequer on maintaining the social media presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, his office has said. Indigenous digital payments app BHIM, launched by the central government last December for fast and secure cashless transactions, has recorded 18 million downloads so far, Niti Aayog CEO Amitabh Kant today said. The Reserve Bank of India today formally launched a mobile application version of its website on Android and iOS platforms. The application can be downloaded from the Play Store/App Store, using the keyword 'Reserve Bank of India'. Internet companies providing wireless service may lose their permit if they fail to start commercial service within a year of getting spectrum from the Department of Telecom, the regulator Trai said. "For ISP licensees having spectrum assigned from the DoT, a provision should be made in the licensee agreement...that licensee shall offer the commercial service to its subscribers on demand within 12 months from the date of spectrum assignment...failing which spectrum assigned to ISP licensee may be cancelled," Trai said. The services sector returned to the growth zone in February after three months of demonetisation- driven contraction but recovery was 'mild' and business confidence remained subdued, a monthly survey showed today. Soon, Aadhaar Will Be Mandatory For Booking Indian Train Tickets Online

The Railways will soon move towards Aadhaar-based online ticketing system to prevent touts from blocking a bulk of tickets, end fraudulent bookings and curb cases of impersonation. Aadhaar number has been made mandatory for senior citizens to avail concessions in train tickets from April 1. A three-month trial run for this is going on. As per the new business plan 2017-18, unveiled by Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu today, besides the Aadhaar-based ticketing system, the Railways will move towards cashless ticketing system by installing 6,000 point-of-sale machines and 1,000 automatic ticket vending machines across the country.
