The Indian School of Business (ISB) and SAP Labs India have entered into a collaboration to nurture technology-based startups in the social space, focusing on ventures which are working in areas that have relevance to national priorities. Karnataka Govt Signed MoUs With Eight Companies, Including Google and PwC

The Karnataka government today signed MoUs with eight companies including Google and PwC to cater to the needs of the identified 100 startups under the state's 'Elevate 100 programme.' "Google which will provide $3000 worth of cloud credits for startups registered with Startup Cell and $20,000 worth of cloud credit for startups who are winners of Elevate100," said state IT Minister Priyank Kharge. Elevate 100 is a government project which will help elevate selected 100 startups by providing them funds and mentors to help them turn their ideas into successful businesses. RBI To Issue Rs 200 Notes: FinMin

The government today gave its go-ahead to the Reserve Bank to issue Rs 200 notes that will ease pressure on lower-denomination currency bills. The finance ministry, in a notification, said that on the recommendations of the Central Board of Directors of the RBI, "the central government hereby specifies the denomination of banknotes of the value of two hundred rupees". The new Rs 200 notes are likely to be in circulation shortly. According to sources, the exercise of printing Rs 200 denomination notes is being undertaken to further improve the currency situation in the country. Home Minister Rajnath Singh Launches A Digital Police Portal

A digital police portal under the CCTNS project, which aims to create a national database of crimes and criminals, was today launched by Home Minister Rajnath Singh. Singh said the digital police portal will provide the citizen, facility for online complaint registration and request for antecedent verification. "The police portal will provide 11 searches and 46 reports from the national database for state police and central investigation agencies. All set to be launched for the third time, the Delhi Polices women's safety mobile app Himmat will bring together all helpline numbers on one platform. The app was first launched in 2015 and despite its relaunch in April this year, it found few takers. To give the app a face lift, the Delhi Police has engaged students from the Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology.
