Pepperfry Launches a new business vertical ‘Pepperfry Bespoke’

Furniture and home products marketplace Pepperfry has launched
a new business vertical ‘Pepperfry Bespoke’. With this, the company is evolving into a full-stack home interiors solutions provider.

“In the last 6-7 years, we have built a large product business in the home and furniture space. With this service, we will foray into services like civil and electrical work, thereby doing the end-to-end design and execution for our customers” Pepperfry founder Ashish Shah said.

The service is at present available in three cities including Mumbai, Bengaluru and Gurugram, wherein the company has converted three of its large format studios into Bespoke studios.

These studios will offer customers home interior design and build services like 3D visualisation, space optimisation, budget planning, false ceiling, plumbing, civil work, modular solutions, painting, and electricals.

As part of the initiative, the company stated that they have also curated contractors who will actually be responsible for executing these projects and have signed tie-ups with key brands who will offer allied services. Some of the brands include Bosch, Siemens, Kajaria, Kaff and Faber among others.

“This service will be one of our key focus areas going ahead and we expect it to contribute to about 10-15% of our business in a year’s time. We have set up a dedicated team of 40 designers and architects for this business in the last three months and we plan to further add 150 people over the next year” Shah added.

Along with this, over the next year, Pepperfry plans to have 17 such Bespoke studios across 10 cities including Pune, Ahmedabad, Delhi, and Kolkata.
