The pocket-friendly hospitality chain OYO Hotels has announced that it has entered into the upscale hotels’ category, that starts with a range of resorts, christened as Palette Resorts.
The company stated that It is organizing a range of resorts that will offer exclusively designed staycations. These will basically cater to those people who are in search of an intuitive experience at competitive prices.

For this purpose, OYO is collaborating with various resorts that offer amenities such as spacious and aesthetically designed rooms, private villas and beaches, gourmet dining, spa and other recreational provisions.
The company claimed that it is starting with a huge and astonishing property in Pondicherry, Palette Resorts – Le Pondy. Furthermore, the company will look to expand the footprints of Palette Resorts by OYO to other picturesque tourist destinations in India and other international markets, based on the feedback from asset owners and guests. The resort will be operated under models of manchise, lease with full – inventory control like the economy and mid-market segments.
At present, India has over 4000 unbranded independent resorts and branded assets – across heritage, beach properties, and inland. Over 65% of these resorts are situated in primary leisure travel locations like Kerala, Goa, Karnataka, Rajasthan and Uttarakhand.
