Hero Cycles Launches 75 New Bike Range For UK Market

Indian owned Hero Cycles which is also world’s largest bike manufacturer has launched a keenly anticipated maiden range of bikes on Thursday, May 3 catering to the UK and European market under the new ‘Insync’ brand in Manchester.

The Insync range of 75 new bikes will mark the first product to be launched by Hero’s new design team that is currently operating from the £2 million Hero Cycles Global Design Centre (HGD) in Manchester. The HGD had come to inception on January 2017, following Hero’s investment in the Manchester-based distribution house Avocet Sports Limited.

The Ludhiana-headquartered operation is leveraging its UK base as a springboard into mainland Europe integrating cycling into major projects involving traffic management, smart cities and carbon emission reduction.

“A Watershed Moment” for Hero Cycles

  • CEO Sreeram Venkateswaran at Avocet Sports Limited’s has considered the Insync launch a “watershed moment” for Hero Cycles in Europe and Britain.

 

  • He told that the Insync range is designed to become one of the world’s leading bicycle brands that would target mid-premium market in the £250 to £1500 price range.

 

  • The maiden range will include some top shot names such as Viking, Riddick, Ryedale and DeNovo to operate under Insync brand within the umbrella of HeroMotocorp.

 

Today marks a fundamental change in our approach to the market. Launching Insync is the beginning of a journey for our new design team, as a company we are very ambitious to create the best bikes for our market sector. Consumers can expect to see lots of design innovations and improvements as the Insync brand grows. Insync’s launch sets us on an upward trajectory.

Mr Venkateshwaran also said that Hero is progressively making a change in its sales strategy focused on deploying a new multi-channel approach to the new Insync range. He told that the new bike range would be available to consumers through the traditional Independent Bike Dealer (IBD) sales channel along with a new direct to consumer sales approach.

This will also mark the entry of a newly launched platform in partnership with THG Ingenuity which is a benchmark platform for leading Wellbeing and Beauty business firm, The Hut Group.

 

What will be the new partnership bring to Consumers and International Bike Dealers (IBD’s)?

The Insync partnership is being fully supported with fully tested and integrated logistics solutions that will bring in faster reach, ease of buying and support convenience to customers as reported by the CEO.

Moreover, the new range is being launched to benefit IBD’s from online availability of marketing and communication assets, thereby improving both the efficiency of the selling process and buying experience of the consumer.

Hero Cycles Limited was founded in India in 1956. It is the largest bicycle manufacturer in the world by volume producing 19,000 cycles per day and 5.2 million per year. This represents one out of every 20 of the world’s bicycles. Hero Cycles has manufacturing units in Ludhiana (Punjab), Bihta (Bihar) & Ghaziabad (UP).
