Facebook Co-Founder Eduardo Saverin invested in Mumbai Based Startup

Eduardo Saverin, co-founder of Facebook has invested $13 million (around Rs. 90 crore) in Hopscotch, a Mumbai-based online retailer in a Series C round. Hopscotch is an E-commerce service, focusing on Kids Fashion Wear. Hopscotch is the same company that secured $11 Million funding last year in a Series B round led by Saverin's Velos Partners. It is the first Indian Company in which Saverin has invested so far. (more…)

ZEE Media Corp. Ltd is about to acquire 80% stakes in two India Today companies- Today Merchandise Pvt Ltd (TMPL) and Today Retail Network Pvt Ltd (TRNL), as per the latest report. GM invest $500 Million in Lyft To Create a Network Of On-Demand Self-Driving Cars

American Multinational corporation, Automaker General Motors or popularly known as GM has decided to invest a sum of $500 million in Lyft Inc. a ride-sharing service provider alliancing with it to create a network of On-demand Self-Driving cars. Lyft is one of the biggest ride-hailing companies which is fastest growing rideshare company in US and is available in more than 190 cities which, along with GM has announced the joint venture on Monday that involved an investment of $500 by GM.
