Ed-Tech Startup iNurture, which provides industry-related skill courses has acquired a skill-based student employability platform KRACKiN Technologies Pvt. Ltd.in an undisclosed amount.
Post this buyout, Bengaluru based iNurture is looking forward to boosting its network in helping graduates become employable.
Ashwin Ajila, the iNurture founder said,
While universities and colleges have well-developed metrics to measure the academic performance of students, they don’t have similar metrics to measure the employability of their students. We realised that a 360-degree engagement and assessment platform would create a greater impact on students, academics, and industry partners.
iNurture had successfully raised Rs. 28 crore ($4.3 Mn) in a Series C funding round led by Ventureast, Ascent Capital and Bertelsmann India. Moreover, it has partnerships with over 30 academic institutions across the country and more than 6,000 students are currently pursuing its programs.
Other ed-tech startups like AEON Learning, Univariety, GreyAtom are top competitors of iNurture in the growing education market.
KRACKiN, on the other hand, is an ed-tech startup that spun-off in 2016 as a part of the NASSCOM 10,000 startup programme. With its AI-powered algorithm, it helps students quantify their employability, discover skill gaps and plug them into a personalised learning assistant.
In respect to the acquisition, co-founder of KRACKiN, Kiran GR said, “iNurture’s network of universities and international collaborations will help the platform grow its operations.”
Last year, iNurture had signed a joint agreement with Galileo Global Education to offer additional programmes in sports and design management. And Now, with KRACKiN under its roof iNurture will be able to provide a multi-channel platform for students, academia and the industry collaborating with each other that would boost student employability.
