India’s largest digital payment platform Paytm has introduced additional features to its in-app messaging service called the Paytm Inbox that helps users to chat with our friends and family like any other messaging app. The unique thing about this app is that along with this, it also allows the users to send and request money while chatting.
The new feature that the inbox has introduced is that now the users will be able to make use of the in-app content such as News, Live TV, Entertainment videos, Games and Cricket anytime for free. Paytm has associated itself with a number of content providers for this purpose to make sure that the best broadcast material is provided to the people directly in the Paytm Inbox.
Deepak Abbot, the senior vice-president, Paytm said, “We will now be offering various kinds of content from News to Live TV to Entertainment Videos and Games to further strengthen our relationship with customers. Paytm has fast emerged as a super-app for India and we will continue to add more offerings to our portfolio, giving our customers one more reason to use Paytm every day.”
The basic motive of the company is to urge people to use the app more often and increase the traffic on Paytm. Currently, the company stated that they have more than 120 million active users per month on their platform and now are expecting a much more amount through the same.
The payments giant has been lately expanding through additional features on its platform like My Payments and Tap Card to enable offline payments. It has also introduced a new version of Paytm app to personalize the app experience for the users.
Through the introduction of a new feature yet again, the company wants to prove to its customers that it is among one of the most promising startups in the country With many new payment platforms making an entry into the market like Google Tez, PhonePe, Amazon Pay and Whatsapp Pay, the digital payments sector has been buzzing in the country. And, thus Paytm is making all the possible efforts to ensure the users stay intact on its platform.
