WhatsApp Update: New Features Introduced For Group Chats

Messaging Service Platform, WhatsApp has rolled out a new group chat feature on Tuesday, that will enable better controls for administrators as well as regular group members.

The description will pop up on the top whenever a new user will join in the group conversation. This will bring more clarity to the purpose, topics and guidelines for that particular group

Post the new update, Users will be able to leave a group permanently to avoid being added back after they have left, informed Facebook-owned WhatsApp in a blog post.

The Blog post read,

Interestingly, Admins of the group will no longer be removable from the group and users shall be able to locate messages quickly that mentions them in a group conversation.

Group chatting has played a central role in the messaging service which today has a whooping active user base of more than 1 billion users, connecting people with similar interest from across the globe.

At the recent F8 Conference, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced that both WhatsApp and Instagram had 300 million daily users as of November 2017. From a broader perspective, a report reveals that users spend about 2 billion minutes per day on WhatsApp.
