SaaS Firm Noticeboard Bags Rs 8 Cr From Stelaris, Others

Bengaluru based B2B SaaS company Noticeboard has raised Rs 8 crore from Stellaris Venture Partners and others.

The platform specializes on front-line staff, and enables organisational communications through digital platforms, from PC and smartphones.

Noticeboard is looking to enable such frontline staff with real-time communication and make them participants of the knowledge economy so that the employees who does not have a real-time access to emails or computers can receive information effectively rather depending upon the manual process of passing the information.

“Smartphone and data penetration have ensured that even the lowest rung of employees have access to smartphones,” Vishal Gahlaut, CEO of Noticeboard, told ET. “Given that they are digitally connected, there is no reason why information should reach them in the same broken manner as it has been so over the past years.”

Founded in August last year, it is the brain child of Gahlaut, Vishesh Dahinwal and Sarath Chandran, former executives at Myntra.

“Despite nearly three decades of email and thereafter a variety of communication tools for the desk workers, enterprise communication eludes the frontline staff,” said Alok Goyal, partner at Stellaris Venture Partners. “With over 300 million such workers in India, we believe that this is a massive opportunity, and one that should naturally come from India.”

The funding round was led by Stellaris, and saw participation from BlackBuck founder Rajesh Yabaji, YuMe cofounder Jayant Kadambi and other angels from Stellaris’ founder network.
