India Launches pan-Africa Digital Knowledge & Health Network

India has launched a pan-Africa digital knowledge and health network with an aim of establishing its leadership role in an area where China has not ventured till now. The five-year project was unveiled by external affairs minister Sushma Swaraj. Under this project, the basic motive is to offer free tele education courses in various academic disciplines to over 4,000 students annually from African countries.  Also, it will help to offer free continuing medical education to 1,000 candidates comprising African doctors, nurses and paramedical staff. Flipkart Offers Rs 1.5 lakh Compensation To IIM-A Students on Differ Joining Date

IIM-Ahmedabad and Flipkart were locked in a face-off on Thursday with the e-commerce major refusing to honour its job commitment to students of the prestigious institute until December, as against June promised earlier, but offered a compensation for the intervening period. While the Bengaluru-based company cited restructuring of its businesses as the reason behind deferring the joining dates for campus recruits, IIM-A said its students have already been getting job offers from other companies and they are looking at these opportunities. Now, a Student-Run Internet-Based Radio Station`Radio G`

With the launch of its internet-based radio station, Radio G, the G.D. Goenka University has given the students an opportunity to get trained in radio journalism. The first broadcast featured an interview of Dr. Deependra Kumar Jha, Pro Vice Chancellor of the University. Congratulating the School of Communication on the launch, he said, "I am very happy at the launch of Radio G. It will give the students an opportunity to get hands on training." The radio station, which has been set up by the School of Communication, will be run by the students of the Communication School.
