HCL Tech completes acquisition of IBM Products

HCL Technologies Monday said it has completed the planned acquisition of select IBM products for security, marketing, commerce, and digital solutions. Last year in December, HCL Technologies said it will acquire select IBM software products for USD 1.8 billion (over Rs 12,700 crore) in an all-cash deal. It's expected to close by mid-2019 after completion of applicable regulatory reviews. In a statement, HCL Technologies announced the close of the said acquisition. "As part of the deal's close, HCL takes full ownership of the research and development, sales, marketing, delivery, and support for AppScan, BigFix, Commerce, Connections, Digital Experience (Portal and Content Manager), Notes Domino, and Unica," the statement said. HCL Tech Opens Delivery Centre at Adelaide

India's one of the largest IT services company HCL Technologies on Tuesday announced the opening of a new delivery centre in Adelaide, with signing a six-year contract with Australian agri-business firm Elders. "HCL will work with Elders to achieve their vision of an agile IT environment that supports future business growth and delivers quality service to clients across Australia and internationally," an HCL statement said. Initially, HCL will help create 50 jobs in the region, the statement said, adding that the Indian major currently employs over 1,600 professionals in the Australia region. HCL Tech Acquire US Based Urban Fulfillment Services

India's fourth largest software services firm HCL Technologies today said it will acquire US- based Urban Fulfillment Services (UFS) for up to USD 30 million (over Rs 193 crore) in cash. UFS is a provider of mortgage business process and fulfilment services. Founded in 2002, the company has over 350 highly skilled professionals. It has three centres in the US. The total cash consideration for this transaction is up to USD 30 million, including contingent payments subject to certain financial milestones, HCL said in a regulatory filing. The deal is expected to be completed by June this year, subject to certain closing conditions including transfer of licences and approval of the customers, it added. IT services major HCL Technologies today said its Chief Executive Officer Anant Gupta has put in his papers, following which the company has elevated current Chief Operating Officer C Vijayakumar to the post.
