Credihealth Raises $1.5M Funding

Credihealth, an online medical assistance firm, said it has raised $1.5 million (over ₹9 crore) from Tolaram Group and Mountain Pine Capital. The pre-series A funding also saw participation from former KPMG partner Bala Swaminathan, one of the earliest investors in the platform. "More than money, it is innovation and steady growth that are needed to survive in the market today. The funding will primarily be utilised to augment technology and infrastructure to expand services and introduce new products," said Ravi Virmani, founder of Credihealth. With this round of funding, Credihealth aims to expand its operations and fund the new services to address the non-clinical pain points of patients, it said in a statement.

Founded by Mr. Prakhar Gupta and Tenzin Thargay, this New Delhi based healthcare startup Letsmd.com provide options to a person who can choose the hospital, the doctor and get the price/cost comparisons from 300 of the 500 speciality tertiary-care hospitals in the capital. Bangalore Based Health Care Startup MobiDent Raised Pre Series A Funding

Bangalore-based healthcare startup MobiDent has raised Pre Series A funding from New York-based DanGold Investment Corp. The funds will be utilised to roll out home dental services in 12 cities across India. The company also plans to hire 250 dentists and invest in strengthening digital technology, marketing and sales with the help of these funds. In August 2016, the company secured funding from IIM-Ahmedabad’s Centre for Innovation incubation and Entrepreneurship (CIIE).
