Saudi Arabia Blocked Social Networking Giant Facebook’s Messenger Service

In a bid to protect the revenues of traditional telecom companies, Saudi Arabia has now blocked social networking giant Facebook's Messenger service. Internet calling over WhatsApp and Viber were already blocked in Saudi Arabia but similar apps including Tango and Line are still available in the country. Although the authorities claimed that the service has been blocked since it violated regulations, the independent reports. India-based messaging app Flock on Thursday launched its App store to integrate frequently used apps and services into its platform. The Flock App store allows integrations with popular apps such as Twitter, Trello, Github, Jira, Bitbucket, and a few others. "The App store makes Flock powerful, especially considering the rich functionality we have in place such as to-do's, reminders, polls and code snippet sharing," said Bhavin Turakhia, CEO and founder, Flock, in a statement.
