Amazon Seller Services, the Indian unit of US e-commerce retailer Amazon has witnessed a growth in their losses by 31% in the financial year 2016-17 reaching up to Rs. 4,830.6 crore. This is because of the exaggerated investments in the country in order to fight against its competitor, Flipkart. Online E-commerce Giant Amazon has announced that it will block Australian shoppers from its international website to counter new tax laws on online purchases. Australians were free to buy goods from United States i.e via Amazon.com for years. But from 1 July, customers will be able to purchase goods only from Amazon's Australian website that was launched last year. Acko Technology, an online insurance startup raised $12 million in a fresh round led by e-commerce giant Amazon India as informed by the company on Sunday. The funding round witnessed participation from new investor Ashish Dhawan and existing investor Catamaran Ventures (Owned by Narayana Murthy).
