After-sales car service provider Pitstop, operated by Chatpay Commerce Pvt Ltd. has recently raised $1 million in its pre-Series A round of funding.
The round saw participation from Blume Ventures, Singapore-based Goldbell Group, and a group of angel investors, that included Anurag Srivastava from Jungle Ventures, Amiya Pathak from EzCred, head of Google’s cloud business unit-Shailesh Rao , Rajesh Yohanan and Rahul Garg.
The company will use the new funds to ramp up its technology platform, provide doorstep services and invest in adding more vehicles, The Economic Times reported, citing the company’s co-founder Mihir Mohan Mishra.
Started by IIT alumni Mihir and Nirant Kamaru, back in 2015, Pitstop aims at standardising the unorganized auto servicing industry while offering a booking platform for repairs from garages and auto care centres.
Pitstop is currently providing services in Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai and Delhi-NCR.
Using the company’s online platform, customers can place a car service request, track service progress, get notifications regarding updates on service orders, and make payment as well.
“While we have so far worked through a network of 150 garages, we also want to focus on doorstep services and will invest in adding vehicles. We will also use the new funding to develop our technology,“ told Mohan to the source.
