Trying to deflect heat over poor service quality, mobile operators are taking refuge in a new technology to "mask" call drops that show a call as remaining connected even when the network connection is lost and the caller is unable to hear voice from the other side. Earlier, the call used to get automatically disconnected in case of the user moving to a poor network area, making it a dropped call under the current regulatory framework. Delhi-NCR Emerged as The Top Job Creator City in January-March: Report

Delhi-NCR emerged as the top job creator among eight major cities in January-March, generating over 2.6 lakh new employment opportunities in the period, says a report. A total of 8.5 lakh jobs were created in eight major cities across the country, the report said. "Delhi-NCR emerged on top with over 2.6 lakh new jobs created during January to March 2016 followed by Bangalore (1.9 lakh), Mumbai (1.5 lakh), Chennai (82,200) and Hyderabad (60,000). About 88.9 per cent of job openings have been recorded in these top five cities," the report by Assocham said. Abidali Neemuchwala Wipro Draws $1.8 Mn Pay Package in FY16

In his first year at Wipro, former TCS veteran got an annual pay package of USD 1.8 million (about Rs 12.04 crore). Flagship Indian IT companies would have to pay at least an additional USD 4,000 for every H-1B visa application under the new regulations that came into effect last December, according to details published on Friday by a federal US agency. And those applying for L-1 visa petitions would have to pay USD 4,500 more than other US companies under the new law, which would be in effect till September 30, 2025. Morgan Stanley Again Marked Down Valuation of Flipkart

A mutual fund group governed by Morgan Stanley has further reduced the valuation of India's biggest e-commerce portal, Flipkart. Flipkart shares markdown by 15.5%. This is the second consecutive markdown by Morgan Stanley, after it had marked it down by 27% in the previous quarter. Morgan Stanley has marked the value of their Flipkart shares at $87.9 per share as of March 2016, down from $103.97 per share as of December 2015 and down 38.2% from $142.24 per share as of June 2015. The markdown pegs Flipkart's valuation at $9.39 billion, as compared to the $15.2 billion when it last raised capital in July 2015.
